Monster Island

Monster Island, the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island with the same name as the island itself, where a monster lives.


This asylum film has a low budget, roughly equivalent to a large meal for children. The filmmakers wisely chose to only focus on a handful of people and to shoot all the important moments involving the A-listers of the cast during lunch. The Asylum may Monster Island from Decker Shado not do so badly considering that it is a kaiju movie.
